MCCI launches MSME Help Desk

Kolkata: Merchants' Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) on Tuesday launched an MSME Help Desk at its office premises. The formal launch was made by Rajiva Sinha, state Additional Chief Secretary, Department of MSME and Textiles.
The objective of the Help Desk is to provide umbrella support to help MSMEs leverage the opportunities and explore solutions to the key issues of finance availability, access to technology, skill-upgradation of manpower, manufacturing incentives and others.
The vision of the Help Desk of the Chamber is to help the MSMEs excel in their respective areas by providing mentoring support, single-point information/consultation system, creation of networking and market linkages, increasing awareness among entrepreneurs and boosting the MSME sector through enabling measures.
The Help Desk will be held weekly, in association with the state MSME and Textiles department. A panel of domain experts would be available for mentoring and guidance, for the benefit of the concerned MSME units. Several areas that have been identified for addressing in the Help Desk, include GST and Taxation, IT Issues, Corporate Affairs, Partnership and LLP issues, HR and Industrial Relations Issues, Skill Development, etc.
Col. Sabyasachi Bagchi, chairman of the West Bengal Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd. and Vijay Bharti, state Director of MSME, were also present on the occasion.
