Police arrested a person on charges of running a sleaze racket at Sinthi on Wednesday. Chanchal Dey, an owner of a beauty parlour was booked by the police on the basis of a complaint lodged by his elder brother Snehamoy Dey. Chanchal was allegedly running a sleaze racket in the garb of his beauty parlour business.
Earlier, police received a complaint from Chanchal against his elder brother. In his complaint, Chanchal alleged that his elder brother Snehamoy molested one of the staff of the beauty parlour. Chanchal took that staff along with him during the complaint.
The investigators later revealed that Chanchal made a false complaint against his elder brother. Snehamoy was only trying to uncover Chanchal's illegal business.
On Wednesday, police arrested Chanchal. The staff of the beauty parlour fled after his arrest. "Chanchal was the owner of a house in Kalicharan Dey Street. He opened a beauty parlour but was running a sleaze racket there," said a police officer.
"We have just started investigation. Some other relatives of Chanchal may be involved in this case," the officer added.
