Police arrested two persons including a woman on Thursday on charges of abducting a person from Gariahat. Police suspect that Swapan Ghosh was abducted as he didn't return money that he had taken from different people. The police rescued Swapan from a hotel at New Digha on Thursday. Moitrei Saha and Amitava Das were arrested in this connection. Police came to know that there were several cases against Swapan with Jadavpur, Netaji Nagar, Panchasayar and Chetla police stations. He was also arrested once but was later released on bail. Swapan was abducted from in front of a bank on Gariahat Road on Wednesday. Local people had informed the police that some men forced Swapan to enter a car and fled from the area.MPOST
