Mathew summoned again on June 27

 The Kolkata Police summoned Narada News CEO Mathew Samuel once again on June 27 after interrogating him for three consecutive days.

He was being interrogated in connection with the Munchipara case in which a former Central minister from Bihar received a call from central Kolkata demanding extortion money of Rs 5 crore.

Samuel was asked to turn up at the police station with his bank account details and other relevant documents. He went to the police station on Saturday afternoon.

He was in the police station on Saturday for long hours when officers of the team questioned him in connection with the incident.

Sources said that the police want to interrogate him further as they are yet to get answers to several questions. Thus, they want to go through several documents relevant to the case before questioning him again. It is learnt that the police would interrogate some more persons who are involved in the case before questioning Samuel once again on June 27. According to a police officer, the investigating officers will once again go through the cell phone records that they had found in the hotel from where they had recovered the laptop containing the video footages.

The police are also going through the statement of Samuel that they have recorded in the past three days to find out answers to some questions relevant to the case.
The police have also gone through a Facebook post of Samuel that he had posted on Friday night.
