Two second year B Tech students of Indian Maritime University at Taratala drowned in a pond situated inside the campus on Friday evening. The victims Animesh Raj (20), was a resident of Gandhi Maidan area in Bihar, and Anshu Shreevastav, was from West Champaran in Bihar. Police came to know that they went to catch fish in the pond and somehow slipped into it. Both didn't know swimming and thus drowned. Another student, Amit Jha who also fell into the pond, knew swimming and survived.
