Delay in train services between Howrah & Liluah leads to protest

Commuters protested at Howrah Station against delay in train services due to some problem in the signalling system between Liluah and Howrah stations on Friday morning.
The commuters alleged that the delay of the train in entering Howrah station was due to a snag developed in the signalling system between the two stations.
The people agitated
mainly because the delay meant that they were late in
reaching their destinations including offices, schools and colleges.
Monotosh Barua, a commuter, said: "We had been waiting inside the train which was taking time to enter Howrah station.
"Such unnecessary delay leads to the harassment of common people. So,
immediate measures should be taken to stop recurrence of such delay."
Malati Santra said
that she had to reach the hospital where her mother was admitted. She might have to miss the appointment with the doctor due to the delay of the train in entering Howrah Station.
The passengers expressed their anger after reaching Howrah Station and
protested against such problems in the morning office hours which leads to serious inconveniences of thousands of people.
