Mathabhanga: Police arrested a couple along with their children suspecting them to be Bangladeshi nationals. The incident has caused a major uproar in
the area.
The police have arrested the family from Paradubi area of Mathabhanga Bloc II Gram Panchayat.
As the investigation is on, police have refused to disclose details of information.
It was learnt that Shyamal Mondol and Tapashi Mondol have been staying in Paradubi area for the past six months.
The police raided their house and arrested them on Monday evening.
After examining the documents that they had submitted to Ghosokdanga police station, it was found that the documents, including Aadhar card, Voter's I-card, birth certificates are fake. Cases have been initiated.
Cops are investigating whether the family is a part of infiltrators. They also got fake Bangladesh passports.
The police suspect that the arrested persons are members of a gang that is involved in making false
documents.
