Police have also started an individual probe on the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim's family. According to a senior health official, they were looking into the alleged medical negligence by the hospital authorities.
It may be mentioned that the postmortem report of the victim revealed that the doctors at the private hospital did not implant stent in his body for which the hospital had charged him with around Rs 53,000. Though the hospital authorities claimed that they had carried out a implant of stent but no evidence was found in the postmortem report. The family members also submitted some documents to the Swasthya Bhawan regarding Pandey's treatment.
