CBI summons Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, Subrata Mukherjee in Narada sting operation case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summoned MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar and the state Panchayat minister Subrata Mukherjee in connection with the Narada sting operation.
Sources said that the notice was served to Dastidar through an e-mail on Thursday.
It was served to the state Panchayat minister on Wednesday and he was requested to be present at the CBI's office at Nizam Palace on Thursday.  
It is learnt that Mukherjee failed to turn up at the office of the CBI for his pre-scheduled programmes.
His counsel went to the office of the investigating agency and informed that it would not be possible for the minister to go to their office before July 21.
The CBI would take both of their statements to verify the same given by Narada News CEO Mathew Samuel in this connection.
The CBI had also wanted to take voice samples of MP Sultan Ahmed and deputy Mayor of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) Iqbal Ahmed in this connection. The investigating agency have collected the voice samples of Sultan Ahmed from a national television channel.
Sultan Ahmed has also been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding a similar matter.
The investigating officer of the case in ED urged Ahmed to turn up at their office for taking his statement in connection with the Narada sting operation. He was earlier questioned by CBI.
