Kolkata: Police have arrested two persons on charges of delivering a fake diagnostic report to a patient, where the test was not conducted in the first place.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by one Azhar Alam Ansari, a resident of Rajabagan, police have arrested the accused from Nadial on Tuesday night. The arrested persons are Vijay Kumar Jha and Santosh Kumar Shaw.
Police arrested Jha. During interrogation, Jha told police that he used to supply the blood samples and other details to Santosh Kumar Shaw.
Santosh Kumar Shaw was then arrested last night. Blank slips of Medical Life Diagnostic Centre and City MED Diagnostic Centre were recovered. They used to give diagnostic test results without actually performing the tests. They have been remanded to 2-day police custody.
