Kolkata: The state government is creating 12 new administrative posts in different categories in Paschim Burdwan and Jhargram districts respectively. A notification in this regard has been issued by Personnel and Administrative Reforms (PAR)department.
It may be mentioned that these two districts have been carved out recently and two zilla parishads were constituted. A senior official of the PAR department said at the state Secretariat Nabanna on Wednesday that these new administrative posts will be beneficial for operationalisation of Panchayat institutions of these two districts.
Among the 12 new posts, two posts (one each in the two districts) will be that of Additional District Magistrate who will function as Additional Executive Officer of zilla parishad. One post in each of the districts are of project director of District Rural Development Cell (DRDC), zilla parishad, one each as Secretary of zilla parishad, one each as deputy director (Monitoring) DRDC, one each as deputy project director (Women Development), DRDC and six each as deputy secretary zilla parishad in both the districts. It may be mentioned that the posts have already received the approval of the Finance department following which the notification was issued.
