An 11-year-old boy, kidnapped from Delhi, was rescued from a railway station in Jharkhand. Two people were also arrested in the case with the help of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), police said on Friday.
Sanjay Kumar Singh and Mantu Parsad, both residents of West Bengal, were arrested from Gomoh railway station in Jharkhand while de-boarding the train.
‘Due to a swift action of Delhi Police and staff of RPF at Gomoh railway station, the two accused were nabbed and the victim was rescued,’ N Gnanasambandan, Deputy Commissioner of Police. The boy was kidnapped on Sunday by the accused, who were known to his maternal uncle Milan.
The victim’s family members reported the matter to police on Monday when they received a ransom call of Rs 1.5 lakh from an unknown person. ‘The accused revealed they had some dispute with Milan regarding the payment,’ police said.
