Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal will address a meeting of AAP volunteers on Thursday evening at the Constitutional Club. This will be the first meeting of Kejriwal and AAP volunteers after he was released from the Tihar Jail on Tuesday. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, party MLAs met Kejriwal at his Tilak Lane residence to discuss how to organise Mohalla Sabhas at their respective assemblies and also discussed how to spend money from the MLA’s fund along with a feedback of what the people are expecting from them.

AAP spokesperson Nagendra Sharma told Millennium Post: ‘Several MLAs of AAP held mohalla sabhas in their constituencies to discuss how the money allotted as the MLA local area development funds should be spent. More such meetings are to follow in the coming week.’

On Wednesday, Kondli assembly constituency MLA Manoj Kumar, held a meeting and said: ‘I met people and expect that they will tell me what are the important works needed in their areas. We have an idea that some of these works include better maintenance of parks, cleanliness, toilets for women etc,’ said Kumar.

Meanwhile, on last Friday hundreds of AAP supporters and volunteers demanded to dissolve its Political Affairs Committee (PAC), which according to them was responsible for the election debacle. The party volunteers raised the questions over some of the party leaders and functioning of the party.

The party workers were angry and agitated over distribution of party tickets that had been given to undeserving candidates for the Lok Sabha election which led the party’s downfall. AAP members alleged that the party had been hijacked by some people.
