Kejriwal retweeted music director Vishal Dadlani’s tweet last night which read, ‘Stuck between a moron and a murderer....what now, India!?’ Dadlani had made the comment after an interview of Rahul Gandhi was aired by a private news channel.
The music director has been making controversial remarks in the past as well but this retweet by Kejriwal, which is seen as an endorsement, has not been received too well. Principal opposition Bharatiya Janata Party criticised the Delhi CM for the action, saying that as a Chief Minister he should be ‘doubly conscious’ of what he endorses.
Meanwhile, the singer confronted vicious trolling on social media over his tweet.
As Kejriwal retweeted the comment, a deluge of tweets followed, many attacking Dadlani as ‘misinformed’, publicity-seeking and worse.
He took it on the chin, tweeting: ‘Here’s the bad news, trolls. You can threaten me all you like, and scream and shout yourselves hoarse. I will still say what I feel. Simple.’
