‘Kejriwal high on his newfound power’

Reacting on the ten days time sought by Kejriwal to put a system in place to address the grievances of people in Delhi, Khurshid said governments do not run on sentiments and that the Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were right now high on their victory and new-found power.

‘Narendra Modi and Arvind Kejriwal are like drums whose sound only those people understand who are in the orchestra,’ he told reporters here.

Meanwhile, rejecting Nitin Gadkari’s allegations that a deal had been brokered between the two parties by a reputed industrialist to stop BJP from coming to power in Delhi, he said the BJP leader should name the person.

Terming the alleged forceful eviction of riot victims from the relief camps in Muzaffarnagar by Uttar Pradesh government as ‘inhuman’, Khurshid said sending them to their homes was right, but the methods being adopted were wrong.

He also condemned Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav’s statement that those living in relief camps were conspirators, saying the remarks were absolutely wrong.
