While interacting with the relatives Kejriwal said, ‘This is the failure of the state government who is not able to provide security to Dalit women in the state. We do not have any hope from the chief minister so I will personally write a letter to the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and will demand to address this issue.’
Yogendra Yadav, senior AAP leader echoed similar thoughts and said, ‘AAP Haryana unit will bring this matter to the public domain and expose the state government’s failure. The government should provide security and safety of all the sections of society and the state government has failed in this direction miserably.’
Meanwhile, Kejriwal slammed the state government for not arresting the accused. ‘It seems that entire machinery of the state government is a failure and the chief minister is acting like a dictator. Despite having the SC/SC act why is the accused roaming free,’ asked Kejriwal.
The victims and their families alleged that four of their women were abducted on 25 March by five men. The women were sedated, raped and dumped at a railway station in Bathinda, Punjab. They have been on dharna since 16 April here in Jantar Mantar.
