In the latest admissions cycle for the academic year (2025-2027), IIM Sambalpur has reported a slight increase of 5% in the numbers of engineers admitted compared to non-engineers. Of the total 363 graduates admitted across both the MBA programmes, 186 which constitute 51.24% of the batch, hold engineering degrees. While non-engineers students’ account for the remaining 48.76%.

Nine students scored 40 or above and two top students achieved an outstanding score of 44 out of 45, placing the students of Canadian International School (CIS), Bangalore, among the top-performing IB students globally. In addition to academic success, the class of 2025 has made their mark on the global stage with over 200 university acceptances from prestigious institutions around the world.
