Emphasising the role of judicial academies in honing the skills of judicial officers, Supreme Court judge Justice AK Sikri on Sunday said the Chandigarh Judicial Academy (CJA) should also undertake research and prepare bench books which can act as ready reference for judges, lawyers and students.
Presiding over the Academy's 10th Founders Day function, Justice Sikri said institutions like CJA should play a role in shaping the face of judiciary all over the country. "Chandigarh Judicial Academy has by far played a commendable role in shaping the newly-recruited judicial officers as well as serving judicial officers.
"The Academy has, in fact, been instrumental in inculcating ethics, values and judicial culture," he said at the function during which he also released special issue of the CJA's newsletter 'The Flight'.
