In a bid to quell the growing resentment among the senior leaders of Delhi BJP, the national party president Rajnath Singh on Saturday appointed former Delhi MLA Vijay Jolly as in-charge of Tripura unit of the party.
‘I am very happy with the new assignment. God has been so kind to me,’ said Jolly who is also holds the charge of BJP’s convener for overseas affairs.
Jolly was instrumental in organising Rajnath Singh’s recent visit to the US.
He was also the man who organised a meeting between a US delegation and Gujarat chief minister Narender Modi.
