In the wake of the recent terror attack at the air force base in Pathankot, the Jammu and Kashmir Governor on Friday chaired a high-level security meet to review the existing arrangements for the safety of all vital Civil and Defence establishments and installations in the state.
A Raj Bhavan spokesman said that consequent to recurring terror attacks since September 2013 across the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LOC) and more particularly the recent attack on the air base at Pathankot, Governor N N Vohra had been speaking to the State Chief Secretary, Police Chief, Northern Army Commander and senior Commanders of Security Forces. He has been urging them to undertake a time-bound review of all existing security arrangements and expressed anxiety over the recurrence of terror attacks across the border.
