Shockingly, while shooting Owais Khan, a resident of Vijay Park area, the accused called Khan’s neice and made her listen to the firing. The accused has been identified as Amaan (26).
The incident took place at around 4 am on Monday in Vijay Park and Khan’s body was found near the Maujpur red light signal. When Khan was rushed to the hospital he was declared dead on arrival.
Speaking to Millennium Post, a senior police official said, ‘At around 2.15 am, Amaan visited Khan’s house and had a half-an hour-long discussion with him and his four siblings. Later the conversation turned into a heated argument and Amaan pulled out a country-made pistol and fired in the air. He then took Khan with him.’
The family reported the matter to police and in the meantime, kept calling Amaan to spare Khan’s life. At around 4 am, Amaan called at girl’s mobile phone and told her that he is going to kill her uncle. Despite several attempts, Amaan fired two bullets at Khan and asked the girl to collect the body from Maujpur red light signal.
According to the deceased’s relatives, the girl was being harassed by Amaan, a native of Bareli, for the past two years. When the girl told her uncle about it, Khan had threatened him with police action.
The girl’s mother (elder sister of the deceased) is separated from her husband and lives with her brother. Meanwhile, Amaan has been booked for murder and is still at large.
