A clash in the dates of final year of B.A (Honours) examination in Social Work of Delhi University and MA entrance  examination date of the same subject at Jamia Millia Islamia University has left students in a quandary. Both varsities have scheduled the respective examinations for 7 June.

Shayra, a B A (Honours) final year student of Social Work at Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, Delhi University said, 'The clash in dates of the final year exam of B.SW (H) Paper no C-465, 'Introduction to Research in Social work' with the MA entrance exam for Social Work at Jamia has put us in a fix.

The timing of our final year exam paper is 9am to 12 noon, while the timing for the MA entrance exam at Jamia is 9 am to 10.30 am How can a student appear for both exams at the same time. It is very disappointing for those aspiring to go in for an MA in Social Work in Jamia after completing their B.SW from DU. Can’t the administration of any one university re-schedule the dates of the exam, to give opportunities to students to appear for both.’

G K Arora, principal of Bheem Rao Ambedkar College, sympathised with the student, but said, 'We are going as per the date-sheet drawn up by the university and a change in exam dates is not in our hands.'

With the clash in dates, students are confused over how to appear for their bachelors finals, while keeping their options for a masters in Jamia open.
