Jaitley holds ‘Gandhi’ dynasty responsible for Cong’s debacle

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed that the ‘demoralisation’ in the Congress party is because of the ‘Gandhi’ dynasty, which ‘controls’ the party.

Senior party leader Arun Jaitley, while elaborating the problems of a ‘dynasty oriented party’, said through social networking site, ‘Their strength is co-existent and co-terminus with the potential of that generation of the dynasty which controls the party. A Nehru or Indira Gandhi could carry the party on the strength of their personality.’

Without naming the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, he said, ‘If the contemporary generation does not have that potential, the party collapses because of inadequate charisma of that generation of the dynasty. A dynastic party will sink or swim with the dynasty.’

‘I am with the complete collapse of Congress to fight back in adversity,’ Jaitley said while asking if anyone remembers a single decision the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government has taken in the past few months with defined ideology.
