Delhi government is committed to give special emphasis to the promotion and development of AYUSH, the country’s traditional methods of medicines expressed Satyendar Jain, Delhi’s Minister of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday in the city. Jain was speaking in a symposium on dengue and homeopathy, jointly organised by the Board of Homeopathic System of Medicine and Delhi Homeopathic Federation at Pearey Lal Bhawan on the occasion of 261st birth anniversary of Dr Hahnemann, founding father of homeopathy. “Homeopathic system of medicine is capable of healing most of the diseases of the time. Delhi has been facing a dengue problem, if homeopathy comes up with any permanent solution for the prevention of dengue it would be a great help to humanity,” said Jain. He further added that in order to make homeopathic system more popular, the government will focus to provide more fund and attention to its AYUSH programme,” he added. The seminar was supported by the Homeopathic Pharmacist Federation and Nehru Homeopathy Medical College (NHMC). The homeopathy pharmacist federation in collaboration with AYUSH has installed stalls to sell homeopathic products. The cosmetic products sold like hotcake as youth made a beeline to buy the products on offer. “Homeopathy is very effective in cases of dengue. We have both types of treatment- preventive and curative,” said Dr A K Gupta, President- Homoeopathic Medical Association of India (HMAI), Delhi.
