Speaker of the Goa Assembly on Thursday held that imprisoned MLA and former minister Fransisco <g data-gr-id="12">Miccky</g> Pacheco could attend the Monsoon session of the House, beginning next month with the permission of the court.
Pacheco is lodged in Sada sub-prison, following his conviction for slapping a government employee.
Assembly Speaker Rajendra Arlekar said there is no ban on Pacheco participating in the session as he is a member of the Legislative Assembly. "He can ask questions, move motion and be a part of <g data-gr-id="14">session</g> like any other MLA," he said.
The Speaker said that after getting permission from court Pacheco could be a part of the Assembly proceedings.
