Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI has mobilised terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad and Hizbul Mujahideen, besides Sikh militants of Babbar Khalsa International and Khalistan Zindabad Force based on its soil for possible strikes in Delhi, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.
Some top ranking Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) officials recently held a meeting with militants from jehadi and Sikh radical outfits in Pakistan and provided funds to carry out possible strikes in India, officials said while quoting intelligence inputs.
Around 15-20 terrorists from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and other parts of Pakistan are being trained to use arms and ammunition at camps across the border with the help of LeT founder and Jamaat-<g data-gr-id="23">ud</g>-Dawah chief Hafiz Saeed.
The inputs suggested that some of the terrorists under training familiarised themselves with Sikh traditions and Gurmukhi script at Kartarpur Sahib, a gurdwara in Pakistan with the help of Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) chief Ranjit Singh alias Nita.
They have also been briefed on the topography of Punjab.
The Indian intelligence establishment has warned security agencies in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab that some of these terrorists might have already entered Punjab or are about to enter to carry out an attack.
As per the intelligence inputs, the arms and ammunition to be used for such attack are likely to be sent from Jammu and Kashmir by concealing them in cavities created in chassis of trucks headed for Punjab.
The information was shared with Jammu and Kashmir government, the army and central forces based in the state on September 24 and with Punjab government, BSF, Directorate General of Military Intelligence and CRPF units in Punjab on September 26.
