Backup goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo saved two penalties then kicked one of his own to give Inter Milan a shootout victory over Juventus for seventh place in the International Champions Cup friendly tournament on Tuesday. The teams finished regulation level at 1-1, and needed 10 rounds of penalties to decide a winner.

Both teams failed to score on their first round of penalties, then each converted their next eight.
Carrizo punched away Mauricio Isla’s attempt to open a lead for Juventus in the 10th round. He then took what became the winning penalty, beating Juventus keeper Marco Storari. Both scored in the first half.

Michel scored in the 53rd minute to give Valencia a 1-0 victory over Everton on Tuesday in the playoff for fifth place in the eight-team Guinness International Champions Cup. Michel, returning to the club for the coming campaign after spending the last season at city rival Levante, controlled Aly Cissohko’s cross from the left side with his chest, and fired his shot past Everton’s goalkeeper.
