Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Friday launched a series of initiatives taken up at a cost of over Rs 1600 crore.
Through video-conferencing, she laid the foundation stone for the Tirupur Collectorate complex, whose construction will be taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 103.39 crore, a state government release here said.
Further, she gave away land pattas to 5229 beneficiaries.
The overall value of the 221 acres of land located at Sozhinganallu here, survey of which was completed recently, was Rs 1,557 crore, it said.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated various other efforts, including new buildings in newly created revenue divisions.
