‘India should utilise hosting U-17 WC’

Poland’s former international and well-known coach Dariusz Kubicki, who will conduct a football clinic here for coaches and players on Sunday, says a good result for India in the U-17 World Cup next year will be a shot in the arm for the country.

The 52-year-old Kubicki, who has years of managerial experience besides plying his trade at Premiership clubs like Aston Villa and Sunderland in his playing days, will conduct the workshop at the capital’s Ambedkar Stadium.

The initiative is being undertaken by Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) in partnership with Nisha Sports Group.

Considering the anticipation around the U-17 World Cup, the two tied up to organise a India-Polish Sports Week from Sunday.
