India should follow Japan model: Dunga

Update: 2012-10-23 02:28 GMT
Brazilian World Cup winner Dunga on Monday urged India should take a cue from Japan to develop their standard of football.

‘One can learn from the way Japan did it. They brought in talented coaches from outside like Brazil to train them. The youngsters should also be given training and exposure outside,’ Dunga said when asked about ways to develop India’s sagging fortunes in football, as the country languishes at 168 in the FIFA rankings.

‘Japan have become a force today. You must develop the youth football. They are the future and they should play with fun.’
