A 32-year-old woman, was reportedly set on fire by her in-laws in Indira Park area on Monday. The area comes under the jurisdiction of Sagar Pur police station.
The victim Neha Yadav suffered 30 per cent burns and was rushed to the nearest hospital where her condition is said to be out of danger.
According to the neighbours she was being harassed by her in-laws for dowry. On Monday when she, alone, her sister-in-law and mother-in-law allegedly set her on fire. She was admitted to nearest hospital.
The neighbour alleged she was tortured by her in-laws for not fulfilling their demand of dowry after her marriage. A case has been registered against her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Police has filed a case against the accused under section 307 of IPC.
