Former Pakistani cricketer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal here on Sunday. The leaders discussed their experiences in governance in their respective regions.
“We exchanged our experiences in governance in both our regions (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan) and Delhi,” Khan said after the meeting.
He said Kejriwal’s experience was more or less similar to his. “Our parties were formed against status quo parties. Our ideas like good governance and fighting corruption are very similar. We will be in touch on these issues,” he said.
Khan said Kejriwal had accepted his invitation to visit the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region in Pakistan, where his party is in power, as part of exchanging ideas on good governance. “I also invited him to Kyber Pakhtunkhwa, which he accepted,” he also said.
Later, the Delhi Chief Minister tweeted, “Met Imran Khan and we shared our experiences in politics. Both challenging status quo in respective countries.”
