Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi, Delhi government’s premier technology university is going to host the first-ever Mini Maker Fair on August 6.
“The Mini Maker Fair will be organised on the August 6, at the IIIT Delhi campus. In the fest, 50 shortlisted makers from across age groups and disciplines will showcase their projects,” said a senior officer of the Delhi government.
“Each and every student of Delhi above class XI is welcome to experience the fair and be introduced to the world of makers as the ‘Maker Movement’ around the world is here to stay to change the future of things,” he added.
Some highlights of the fair are: Mini-workshops and ‘do-it-yourself’ by community makers, games, performances and interactive installations by volunteer teams and community partners, industry sponsored workshops and stalls. A three-hour Orientation of Fabrication in School Program on the day before the fair at IIIT Delhi is planned for school principals and teachers.
