The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) celebrated the 124th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr B R Ambedkar at the Convention Centre on April 13.
Prof Ramesh Chandra, founder-director of Dr B R Ambedkar Centre for Biomedical Research, University of Delhi, former V-C, Bundelkhand University delivered the lecture on the Relevance of Baba Saheb in making Dalit’s successful in India.
Prof Nageshwar Rao, vice-chancellor, IGNOU, delivered the Presidential address. Prof P Prakash, Pro V-C and Prof D Gopal, director, School of Social Sciences, also addressed the gathering.
More than 200 children gave their views andthe function ended with a resolve to follow the vision and mission of Dr Ambedkar in letter and spirit.
