IEI felicitates NTPC CMD for leadership qualities

Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD, NTPC has been felicitated at the 27th  Indian Engineer Congress held in Vigyan Bhawan ,New Delhi on Friday as an Eminent Engineering Personality by S L Garg, President , The Institution of Engineers India. Roy Choudhury addressed the congress and lauded the role of engineers. He added that he is proud to be part of an engineering organization like NTPC which is has been a leader and has introduced various innovative benchmarks in the sector.

CMD, NTPC has an illustrious career spanning over 32 years of outstanding contribution in the fields of engineering, general management, strategic management and business leadership. He is a graduate in civil engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra and a post-graduate in management and systems from IIT-Delhi. He has the distinction of becoming the youngest CEO of a Central Public Sector Enterprise  at the age of 44 years when he joined as chairman & managing director, National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC) on 3 April 2001.
