Attacking the Haryana government on transfer of IAS officer Ashok Khemka for ordering probe in land deals, India Against Corruption activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal, on Tuesday, questioned the transfer policy of the Haryana Government.

A 1991-batch officer, Ashok Khemka, the Director-General of Land Consolidation and Land Records-cum-Inspector General of Registration in Haryana, was transferred within three months of assuming charge. He had ordered the probe three days back on land deals in Gurgaon, Faridabad, Palwal and Mewat since 2005.

Questioning the move of the Haryana govt, Kejriwal said, 'Haryana CM ought to answer to the country why has Khemka been transferred. What is transfer policy for IAS officers in Haryana? Under that policy, can officer be transferred merely because he was investigating Vadra?’

Kejriwal said that Khemka had given orders to investigate all land deals of Vadra as many corruption cases were coming to light.
