I am still a virgin: Meera

What's your role in Bhadaas about?
It’s closely inspired by the role played by Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct. I play the character who is psychologically derailed and suffering from split personality. The film is a psycho-thriller. My role also has shades of Priyanka Chopra in Saat Khoon Maaf.

After Nazar and Kasak, it’s Bhadaas now. How did you bag the role?
Bollywood till date is a tough industry to survive in.  Am still struggling and after a long wait got this film offer. The main reason is that there is a strong lobbying system against Pakistan actors in  Bollywood. I am persevering to break this internal lobbying.

You raved a lot about Priyanka Chopra of late. Has she given you any reaction in return?
Priyanka Chopra comments and gossips about me in the industry too much. I thought why not give her an answer back. I even met her on a US tour where she did not exchange any good words. I fail to understand her issues with me. Infact Sanjay Leela Bhansali have also been a part of this ugly game and both are trying to tarnish my image for unknown reasons.

You rebelled against the societal conventions. How has the journey been so far?
I belong to a middle class family of Pakistan and reaching till here is a big feat for me. I took a break at my own free will and stayed away form celluloid since it was required. It helped me to introspect for constant improvement.

Would you be tagged as being ‘hot’ or ‘talented’?
I want to be known as a strong, talented and a classy actor rather than hot. Feminine suits me and hot seems like a dirty word for me.

Which Bollywood actor turns you on?
Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are my favourites in the industry. I wish to work with them real soon.

Which Bollywood actor would you choose for a one night stand?
There is no one. I am a virgin and am awaiting marriage to let it all happen.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni from India or Imran Khan from Pakistan. Take your pick.
I adore Dhoni completely and admire his sportsmanship and consistency.

How are you re-inventing yourself in the age of Veena Malik?
I have taken a liking for studies now. I read a lot of literature and medical related books. Am also on a roll to improve my PR skills and taking trips abroad on and off. Am also trying my hold on regional cinema and have done a couple of Punjabi films.

What's your current relationship status with the Bhatts?

They guide and mentor me for my career in the industry. And we do not discuss work neither do I have any offers from them.
