After the double murder, Sukhdev Singh Namdhari had apparently hid in different places to escape the cops. Also, Namdhari admitted that there were seven other persons along with him in the crime scene on that fateful day.

According to the sources, Namdhari spoke up in the local court where he was produced on Sunday to seek the police custody for few more days. Namdhari told that on 18 November, he stayed in Karol Bagh at the office of a Sikh Sangathan. He spent the whole day and night in the office. The very next day, he went to R K Puram where he stayed at the office of Hindu Parashad.

When the cops declared him absconding, Namdhari managed to escape from New Delhi. He went to Ghaziabad where he changed his SIM cards so that he could not be traced via mobile phone. After that he managed to escape to his farmhouse in Uttarakhand from where he was arrested.

In the court, he also said there were seven people with him. ‘All the seven persons were carrying baseball bats and  hockey sticks with them,’ Namdhari said.

Hardayal Singh – maternal uncle of Namdhari was also among the seven. The others are identified as Simranjit, Satnam, Jahvir, Balvinder, Ballu and Bagh Singh. ‘There is a possibility that Hardayal has taken Namdhari’s pistol to Namdhari’s farmhouse in Uttarakhand,’ one of the sources in the crime branch said.
