The Gujarat High Court on Thursday issued a notice to the state government and city Crime Branch in connection with a plea challenging the case of sedition against Patel quota leader Hardik Patel.
Justice JB Pardiwala issued notices to the Gujarat government and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) KN Patel of the city Crime Branch, while considering the plea seeking quashing of petitions filed by Hardik and his associates Alpesh Kathiria and Amul Patel. The court also instructed the state authorities not to take coercive action against Alpesh and Amul till further hearing. The case will now come up on November 2.
