In a major relief to the locals, the Haryana cabinet ministers Rao Narbir Singh and Minister of State Vikram Thekedar on Sunday assured them of exemption from toll charges for their vehicles passing through Kherki Daula on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway.
Narbir Singh said: ‘We will ensure that people from villages near Kherki Daula gate should be exempted from toll charges. We will speak to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar regarding this issue.’ According to the Millennium City Expressway Private Limited, the company that operates the expressway, nearly 25 per cent of the vehicles passing through the toll gate did not pay the levy, causing heavy losses to the operator.
