Haryana electricity board collects highest ever revenue

Intensifying its campaign of recovering electricity bills, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam achieved highest ever revenue realization of Rs. 437 crore 75 lakhs in the month of November, 2012. A spokesman said here on Tuesdaythat the maximum revenue of Rs. 72.85 crore was recovered in operation circle Panipat, where theft detection and recovery campaign had been launched under direct supervision of Chairman and Managing Director, Devender Singh followed by operation circle Ambala (Rs. 65.81 crore), Sonepat (Rs. 66.24 crore), Karnal (Rs.47.42 crore), Yamuna Nagar (Rs. 44.94 crore), Rohtak (Rs. 36.87 crore), Jhajjar (Rs. 33.68 crore), Kurukshetra (Rs. 24.91 crore) Kaithal (Rs. 26.49 crore) and Jind (Rs. 18.54 crore). He said that the revenue realization was almost  32.93  per cent extra as compared to the corresponding month of the last year. The Nigam has decided to disconnect electricity supply of major non payers as per rules to increase revenue realization for which the identification work has already been completed.
