Bollywood Actor Annu Kapoor, who shares screen space with National Award-winning actor Om Puri in Jai Ho Democracy, says he cherished working with his NSD senior in the movie.

Jai Ho Democracy is a political satire written and directed by Annu’s brother Ranjit Kapoor, who was the dialogue writer of classic comedy film Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro. The film also stars Satish Kaushik, Adil Hussain and Seema Biswas in pivotal roles.

“I had a great time working with Om Puri. He is my senior from National School of Drama. Not only him, the whole cast of the film was perfect, hardcore professional and devoted. Nobody would bring any petty ego into the work,” Annu told PTI. The 59-year-old actor said his character of a former Chief Justice of India is a ‘great manipulator’ in the film.

“I play a South Indian man, Arvind Kumar. He is a great manipulator. There are people in Indian politics today those who will always be in the limelight, those who will manoeuvre their careers in such a manner that they will always be in the ruling side. Arvind Kumar is like that,” Annu said.
