When Modi became an RSS Pracharak, Inamdar was the Prant Pracharak of Gujarat. Modi and Inamdar are believed to have shared a special bond.
“The award would be called as “Lakshmanrao Inamdar <g data-gr-id="16">Sahkarita</g> Award” to be instituted by every state under which one best district cooperative bank of five states and one state cooperative bank will be <g data-gr-id="28">awarded with</g> national awards,” Singh said while announcing the new initiative at a programme organised by <g data-gr-id="17">Sahkar</g> Bharti to mark birth centenary of the RSS leader. Sahkar Bharti is <g data-gr-id="30">a RSS’s</g> body created with the objective to solve <g data-gr-id="31">economical</g> problem of weaker section by forming co-operative societies and also to bring national and social awareness as well as social responsibility in society.
“Keeping in view the paramount importance of cooperatives in <g data-gr-id="33">rural</g> economy, the Centre is committed to <g data-gr-id="32">take</g> them forward through various programmes. It is also a dream of Modi that the people must be linked with cooperative movement only then <g data-gr-id="21">sabka</g> <g data-gr-id="22">sath</g> <g data-gr-id="23">sabka</g> <g data-gr-id="24">vikas</g> would be <g data-gr-id="36">realized</g>,” Singh added.
