The Delhi government has sanctioned three senior secondary schools in the city, for which Rs 51 crore was approved on Tuesday by the expenditure and finance committee. These schools will be constructed in Dwarka and Rohini.
As per the approval, a senior secondary school will be constructed in Rohini Sector 21 while one each will come up in Sector 5 and 3 of Dwarka.
‘Public Works Department of Delhi government will execute the projects which is expected to complete in 15-18 months,’ said a senior government officer.
‘The construction of new buildings have become necessary to provide infrastructure for facilitating educational needs of students as per the provision RTE (Right to Education) Act.
