To mark the martyrdom day of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, an all-faith prayer meeting was organised by the Office of the Resident Commissioner, Government of West Bengal, at the West Bengal Information and Cultural Centre on Saturday.
Students of Convent of Jesus & Mary, Guru Harkrishan Public School India Gate, Union Academy Senior Secondary School, Shafiq Memorial Senior Secondary School and Department of Buddhist Studies, University of Delhi, took part in the solemn ceremony, reciting shlokas, religious texts and devotional songs. The event concluded with the rendering of “Humko Mann Ki Shakti Dena”.
Bhaskar Khulbe, Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office and R D Meena, Principal Resident Commissioner, Government of West Bengal, graced the event along with other senior officials of the Office of the Resident Commissioner.
