The government has notified norms for use of bio-CNG for vehicles running on it, in a bid to promote green fuel.
"The Road Transport and Highways Ministry has notified norms for the use of bio-CNG for testing and exhaust emission for vehicles running on bio-CNG and the related norms," an official statement read on Wednesday. "With this notification, vehicle manufacturers can manufacture, sell and get the vehicles fuelled by bio-CNG in the country." The specifications on test reference fuel for bio-ethanol vehicles were earlier notified by the Ministry.
