Govt doles out Rs 57 lakh for city NGOs

The Delhi Kalyan Samiti (DKS) on Wednesday sanctioned an amount of Rs 57 lakh to be distributed among various NGOs and welfare organisations to carry out social development projects.

The DKS’s meeting was chaired by the Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. Elaborating on the details of the disbursement of funds, Dikshit said over Rs 2 lakh will be allocated to computer training.

An amount of Rs 4.75 lakh will be given to Sophia Educational and Social Welfare Society for setting up a computer centre while Sahyog Vikas Samiti would get an amount of Rs 4.00 lakh for its computer training centre.
