Delhi government announced on Thursday a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to the next of kin of five NCC cadets from the city who drowned in Periyar river in Kerala. Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit condoled the death of the students. ‘Government would release an ex-gratia amount of Rs 4 lakh each to the next of kin of diseased students,’ Dikshit said.
