The government of Delhi on Monday granted a holiday to Haryana natives, who work in the city, on the day of assembly polls in the state on 15 October. It is speculated that DTC’s and Delhi Police’s works will be most affected on 15 October, because a bulk of drivers, conductors and police constables are from Haryana. The official statement by the government also noted that no wage/salary will be deducted on account of the holiday.
