Girl gang-raped in MP; BJP leader’s son, 5 others held

An 18-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by six persons including a BJP leader's son near Pipaljhopa forest area in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh, police said on Friday.

The crime took place on Thursday under the Bhagwanpura Police station following which all the six accused were arrested on Friday, Bhikangaon's Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Karan Singh Rawat said.

Those arrested include BJP former MLA Dalsingh Solanki's son, Nanguda alias Santosh, Ekka, Nanu, Thavaria, Bila and Kalria, Rawat said adding all of them were residents of Pipaljhopa village.
The victim, who belongs to village Badya said in her complaint that Ekka had lured her into the forest on the pretext of marrying her and later raped her along with five of his associates.

Also, they threatened to kill her if she revealed the matter to anyone, the complaint said.
Police is further probing the incident, Rawat added.
